Xfce on Kanotix

Hello

I've installed Xfce on Kanotix (http://kanotix.com/)
When trying to log in, I get this error message:

Unable to load a failsafe session

Unable to determine failsafe session name. Possible causes:
xfconfd isn't running (D-Bus setup problem); environment
variable $XDG_CONFIG_DIRS is set incorrectly (must include "/
etc"), or xfce4-session is installed incorrectly.

Please advise how to fix this.

possible causes:

How are you logging in? Display manager (if so which one) or startx (post your ~/.xinitrc file).

How did you install Xfce? Which packages?
Which build of Kanotix are you running?

Hello
After a shutdown of the computer, it was possible to log in to Xfce.
Display manger is lightdm.
Xfce was installed via terminal using apt-get install xfce4.
uname -a :Linux KanotixBox 5.7.0-0.bpo.2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.7.10-1~bpo10+1 (2020-07-30) x86_64 GNU/Linux
(nightly build from Oct 11)
