MIME-Typ editor. Go back to "standard" status

Hello,

I have opened the mime-typ editor.
There I have changed the mime-type standard (MS Word) into something other.

Now the status is user-defined setting instead of "standard".

Then I have changed back the mime-type to "MS Word".

This was succesful it is now "MS Word" again. But "Status" is still "user-defined".

Question: How can I set it back to "standard", so that the stutus shows "standard".

Thank you.

Re: MIME-Typ editor. Go back to "standard" status

You should have one or more entries for "application/msword" in ~/.config/mimeapps.list. There may be other entries as well - search the file for anything related to MS Word. If you delete the entries there, the system will revert to its default for that mimetype.

More info on mime types and the XDG standard can be found here.
