changing the names of panels

I have 3 panels on my desktop.
When we right click on a panel, we can open a dialog window with the field "panel 1". As I have 3 panels I also can choose in this field other panels. I have panel 1,3 and 4 in this field list.

Question:
I would like to swap the panel names. Panel 4 should become Panel 1. Of course I would like to keep panel 1. But it does not matter if the panel 1 becomes 2 or 3 or something else.

So: How can I set the name of panel 4, which is "panel 4" to the name "panel 1" without losing "panel 1" ?
