I can't change the inactive color for windows

I am really frustrated with something. I am going through the .xpm files in /usr/share/themes/Xfce/xfwm4 and no matter what I do for the inactive named ones, they won't change. I tried making the inactive color hex codes match the ones listed in the active file, but nothing changes. How can I get xfce to use the changed xpm colors? Do I have to put something in the themerc file? Please help.

Hello and welcome.

Can you provide examples? Do these files use gtk color pickup codes? If so, you need to remove them.

I did remove them and nothing changed. It was for a theme called mofit that was in the arch linux repos.

Any help you could give me? All I want is the inactive window matching the active window.

Wouldn't that make it confusing? How would you know which window is the active window?

If thats all you want, just copy the active file to the its inactive version:

cp top-right-active.xpm top-right-inactive.xpm

Do this for every active/inactive pair.

You are a genius. Thank you. It worked and I now have consistent titlebars now because inconsistent titlebars was really bugging me.
