Firefox, Thunderbird and Appmenu Plugin

I seem to recall there's a way to get the FF and TB menus to populate the appmenu plugin, but I'll be damned if I can remember what it is.

Can any of you? big_smile

Using Xubuntu, latest LTS build.

Re: Firefox, Thunderbird and Appmenu Plugin

The workaround* is mentioned in this issue, but there's bad news at the end.

*As I understand it, that workaround won't work in recent versions of Firefox, but for the record:

That said there is an unusual quirk. UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=1 needs to be exported in your profile for all applications to integrate with Global Menus, however Firefox and Thunderbird require that UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 be exported. So I just provide wrappers for Firefox and Thunderbird to override the system default of 1 with 0 when they are executed.
