thunar: is it possible to make file search by pattern?

e.g: folder `foo` had following files:
foo:
- zbar1
- ybar2
- xbar3

now had to input accurate leading chars: e.g `xb` then find `xbar3`,
But how to make it support `*3`? which perhaps i did not know what was the leading chars..

Yeah, you can!

In the Thunar menu, select Edit > Select by Pattern, or press Ctrl+S.

Tell us how it goes!

Re: thunar: is it possible to make file search by pattern?

thx, good to know this tip. but looks that's not the same thing..
e.g:
1. it can not look for 'next' one, but just to select as a 'bunch'..
2. it can not ignore case (case insensitive).. or not sure what's kind 'pattern' it is using..

Re: thunar: is it possible to make file search by pattern?

perhaps this is historical issue, if fs items were sorted by alpha, then searched by leading chars looks a bit make sense if so..
so let it be, let me get used to it... smile
