Kerning of system fonts in XFCE

Hello,

There was a recent change in the font rendering in Pango (switch from FreeType to HarfBuzz), see e.g. this bug report.

After this change, is there a way how to use any system font with hinting in XFCE to achieve correct kerning?

Example on the mentioned link uses Tahoma font, but I can see the same trouble with e.g. Liberation Sans font.

I like non anti-aliased fonts (where hinting is mandatory for good looking), but the rendering change broke the kerning completely.

So I am asking for a nice looking font that can be used with disabled anti-aliasing and with proper kerning.

Thanks
Zbynek
