Until the latest update it was working just fine. Out of a sudden my edited icons reverted back to default.
My setup was that I just had created a copy of the icon folder I like and replaced user-desktop.svg with my own.
Now it's not working, also i realised when I change icon size nothing happens. I'll replace my icon with all icon sizes though before only 22 was sufficed.
What I don't understand is that it changes with themes and from what I can tell right now it's using user-blue-desktop.svg but why, I can't tell.

If you are running the newer 4.16 version of Xfce, the icon names have changed for most Xfce components. The showdesktop plugin now uses "org.xfce.panel.showdesktop" instead of "user-desktop".

Thanks, but there is no such file in /usr/share/icons
Where does one have to look for that?

By default, xfce4-panel 4.16 should put one in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps. You can also create them if needed.

Ok, it works for adwaita but doesn't work for papirus-dark-maia for some reason.
Edit: Found it /usr/share/icons/Papirus/22x22/apps/cs-desktop.svg
22x22 because that s the size i'm using.
