Some applications open unexpectedly at full height

Hi,

Yesterday and before that the command

xfce4-terminal --geometry 135x67+0+0

used to open a terminal window half the height of the desktop but for some reason today it opens a full height (but not full width) window. Can anyone explain what could be causing this? At the same time

xfce4-terminal --geometry 135x66+0+0

or height anything less than 67 works fine.

No packages related with X or XFCE have been upgraded yesterday or today.

Kind regards,

Harri

  • XFCE 4.12.5

Re: Some applications open unexpectedly at full height

In addition to XFCE Terminal, some other applications open at full height after being closed when their height is more than half the desktop height:

  • VSCodium 1.52.1

  • LibreOffice 6.1.5

  • Rhytmbox 3.4.3

  • VLC media player 3.0.11

  • Eclipse 2021-03

However, this does not occur on all the applications. For example Firefox, Thunderbird, Chromium and Spotify open normally.

I think that the problem started when one of these package upgrades was done.

I asked about the problem also here.
