Hello xfce people. Just found this forum.
Not a newbie to technology. At the moment I'm trying to figure out this little lot that's thrown when xcfe is operating under Windows 10's WSL2 with X410 as the xserver. It all works. I sort of look at the console and and go..... Ugh? Then partially throw my hands up.
As in . . . .
C:\Users\myron>start /B x410.exe /desktop
C:\Users\myron>ubuntu.exe run "if [ -z \"$(pidof xfce4-session)\" ]; then export DISPLAY=$(cat /etc/resolv.conf | grep nameserver | awk '{print $2; exit;}'):0.0; echo 'Starting XFCE4 in bottle ...'; genie -c xfce4-session; echo 'Stopping processes ...'; pkill '(gpg|ssh)-agent'; fi;"
Starting XFCE4 in bottle ...
xfce4-session: GNOME compatibility is enabled and gnome-keyring-daemon is found on the system. Skipping gpg/ssh-agent startup.

Hello and welcome.
when xcfe Xfce is operating under Windows 10's WSL2 with X410 as the xserver.
Disclaimer: no expertise in this setup. Can only help identify source of messages below.
C:\Users\myron>ubuntu.exe run "if [ -z \"$(pidof xfce4-session)\" ]; then export DISPLAY=$(cat /etc/resolv.conf | grep nameserver | awk '{print $2; exit;}'):0.0; echo 'Starting XFCE4 in bottle ...'; genie -c xfce4-session; echo 'Stopping processes ...'; pkill '(gpg|ssh)-agent'; fi;"
This is the command being run internally. It's being echo'd into the log file.
xfce4-session: GNOME compatibility is enabled and gnome-keyring-daemon is found on the system. Skipping gpg/ssh-agent startup.
Informational message indicating state of gnome-keyring-daemon startup.

These belong to KDE. Did you install, at some point, KDE on this system? If so, there are remnants left behind.

xfwm4 can't start because another window manager is managing the system. Race condition or maybe a KDE leftover? Which one is actually running now:
ps -ef | grep -E 'xfwm4|kwin'

Looks like xfce4-clipman is running both as an application in autostart and as a panel plugin. You can only run it one way. It looks like this message is telling you that that plugin is already running and it can't run the executable. Safe to ignore, or remove xfce4-clipman entry from autostart (or remove panel plugin).
** (xiccd:732): WARNING **: 16:45:28.639: EDID is empty
xiccd (color management) can't find monitor information. Maybe a by-product of the way you are running it?

Something wrong with connecting the menu to the desktop. What is managing your desktop? Is xfdesktop running?

"wrapper" refers to a panel plugin. One of them is issuing this error. The number "755" refers to the pid of the offending panel plugin.

Thank-you for the reply and the analysis.
Hmmm.... I may have tried KDE. So, how to I check and strip any remnants of KDE out of the installation?

Review your package manager logs from around the time you installed KDE and ensure that all of those packages are removed. You may need to review each one individually to ensure it is KDE related.
