Alt-TAB behaviour

If you have a number of open windows the "cycle window" function tied to Alt-Tab will display the active apps on this workspace in, and I'm guessing here, order in which they have been last accessed?

I find that I'm always selecting the wrong application ... I tend to move the cursor to where the application was the last time.

Would it be possible to have it NOT sort the apps and just display them in the order in which they were created. The "window buttons" in the panel have this option and I find it very nice.
