Where is or how to get /etc/X11/xorg.conf file for display driver

I tried to solve the persistent brightness setting at laptop reboot/startup so learn:

but can't find /etc/X11/xorg.conf file for XFCE on MX Linux and as said there do:
$ sudo nvidia-xconfig
sudo: nvidia-xconfig: command not found

but it cannot.

How to create one in accordance with the current H/W on which OS is installed?
