cannot find 'language support'

i am running debian sid, with xfce desktop, installed via the xebian distro.

things are working fine, except i cannot find 'language support' or 'region and languages' or anything like that in the system setup or settings.

what do i need to install to get that please. i did update locale from the terminal to include japan (which is the second language i want to install.

They are ubuntu tools, maybe you can download and install them from ubuntu repos.

with some fiddling around, i have now managed to install japanese.
