Showing volume slider at max volume using xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin

Hi! I'm experiencing a behavior that I think it's intended, but that I'd like to change. I can change the volume using my media keys (using xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin), but with the caveat that when I'm at max volume, no notification is showed. I'd like for the volume slider to show at max level, even when I'm already maxed out (and therefore, no volume change is detected).
Any idea on how to accomplish this? I know I could probably remap the volume up / down media keys to a custom script that increases alsa levels and shows the notification either way, but this would involve having to remap all of the multimedia keys (play/pause, next track, previous track, stop, etc...) and I'd like to avoid this.

Thanks!
