Thunar windows sporadically stop responding

Does anyone else find that Thunar windows occasionally become unresponsive?

I can't find a consistent pattern. Just, sometimes I bring a file browser window to focus, and neither keystrokes or mouse clicks do anything. (Including the top-right close button -- clicking "close" results in nothing happening for a couple of seconds, until the window manager pops up a window asking if I want to terminate the non-responsive app.)

It isn't only when focusing. Sometimes, I've opened a brand-new Thunar window and, within seconds of navigating through folders... freeze. Nada.

This has happened sporadically for me in every version of XFCE that I ever used.
