edit color in theme

I am using the Adwaita-dark theme on Xfce 4.16.0, installed on Xubuntu 21.04
I want to edit the window button labels of non-active windows to make the text whiter.
In the screenshot you can see that the active app, Firefox, has nice, clear, white text in the window button. But the Chrome buttons are grey and hard to read.
The gtkrc file looks like below. Not sure what to modify.
