For many years, it has been possible for me to middle-click with the mouse on the title-bar of a window and the window will be moved to the bottom of the window stack, behind the other windows. Since I updated my OS, this no longer works. No longer will the selected window go behind all of the others, but there seems to be no way to enable this traditional behaviour.

Hello and welcome.
It still works here for me on 4.16. Does this happen with all apps or just some?
Which distro and version of Xfce are you running?
Are you using xfwm4 or have you replaced it?
Does the middle-click of your button work otherwise?

My face is red. This morning, all is well. I don't know what was happening yesterday, but windows for a number of applications would not go to the back. I am using OpenSuse Leap 15.2 which installs Xfce and xfwm4 version 4.14. Thanks for your help and I am sorry to trouble you.
