Can't launch application from desktop (error)

Hi. I created a shortcut on desktop using "right click > create launcher" but whenever i click the icon (on desktop) it gives me this error:

Failed to run "Firefox.desktop"

Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

I can run the program using shortcut from file manager (/root/desktop). But in desktop it's not working. Im logged in as root if it makes any difference. Please help me
