Combining the time-out plugin and the screensaver?

Hi,

Is there a way to combine the time-out plugin with the xfce screensaver? the screen will be blanked once the timer reaches 0 to force a break. Afterwards the user needs to type the login password to resume and the timer resets. This is how it works with the Mate desktop.

On Xfce the time-out plugin & screensaver are both standalone.

Thanks

Doesn't look like there is. There is an existing enhancement request to allow a command to be tied to the break event.

The xfce4-timer-plugin, on the other hand, does have the ability to tie a command to a timer event. Perhaps you could use it instead, create a recurring event, and tie "xfce4-screensaver-command -l" to the timer event which should lock the workstation.

Thanks. I'm already using the timer plugin but for other purposes. if I bind it to the screensaver once I log back in the timer won't auto-reset (say to 60 minutes). Doing these reset manually quickly become tedious.
