After starting, application launching panel neeeds to be clicked on be

... needs to be clicked on several times before I have access to it. It only does this when the laptop is started. Once I'm able to access the menu the first time, then it opens every time it's clicked on.

Other than this, everything else seems to be working great.

This is a 10 year old HP Pavvilon laptop, with 4gigs of memory. I bought it new. It has never seen much use. This is Linuxmint Xfce4. I replaced Linuxmint Cinnamon on this laptop because I wanted something that worked a little faster. I did this about a week ago.

Most likely it is simply that not all processes and services have finished starting up at the time when already you see the desktop. Wait a few seconds and you will see that everything will respond at the first click.
