Anchor input field of the application finder search on desktop

Hello,

I would like to anchor only the input field "1" - see screenshot  - of the application finder search xfce4-appfinder firmly in the desktop center. The hit list "2" then appears only when typing - as one is used to it from the search engines. Just a question for you:

What kind of effort do you think it would take to program such a feature? How many hours, days - approximately?

Are you thinking about programming this change yourself, or are you looking for someone else to do it? If the former, it is difficult to estimate time as it is totally dependent on the programmer's skills and knowledge of xfce4-appfinder.

That being said, what you are requesting is an easy hack. Are you looking for clues as to where to look, or are you just after the answer?

I would like to get an idea of the magnitude of the effort to then launch a crowdfunding campaign for funding the project.
