Hi folks,
this is my first post in this forum.
While switching from Buster to Bullseye I switched to XFCE 4.16.
So far I'ver been using Cinnamon for years. All things are working fine with XFCE 4.16 except one: font rendering.
First, I thought I'd need new glasses. But, then I compared to Cinnamon. In Cinnamon the fonts in the terminal app are looking a bit more crisy/sharper then in XFCE. Actually I made two screenshots for comparison but I didn't find an option to upload them.
What screws do I have to turn in XFCE to make the font rendering as crispy/sharp as in Cinnamon?

Hello and welcome.
There are some configurable options in Xfce, that can be found under Settings Manager > Appearance > Fonts tab. More info here.

Just played around a little bit with the fonts settings mentioned by ToZ. With the following adjustments I get a crispy sharp fonts in XFCE terminal:
- Enable anti-aliasing
- Hinting: highest possible option (last entry in drop down menu)
- Sub-pixel order: RGB
Now I can't see any difference in XFCE terminal comparing to gnome terminal used by cinnamon on the same machine.
Again, thanks a lot, ToZ!
