Config file for the panel settings?

Hi,

i use the good old redmond panel and have created some shortcuts. Where are that settings saved? Restoring the folder ~/.config/xfce4/panel is not enough to restore the panel after a new installation.

Greetings!

Afaicr, xfce caches its .config files in memory and overrwrites what's stored on disk before a shutdown / reboot  / suspend / logout. However, it does have its own "xfce4-panel-profiles" utility (usually not installed by default) that can be used to reliably save & restore the desktop's panel(s) and related tweaks while the desktop is up and running. Did your old system have this feature installed, and if so, did you happen to use it to create a backup/archive of your "old" panel(s)?

Cheers, m4a
