When pasting text into a terminal I am getting the result in reverse video (guess you could say "highlight"). This is new behavior and probably due to a system setting (?), but I find it quite distracting.
I'm getting this with xfce4-terminal, Mate-terminal and Konsole. And, I even ran kde plasma and got the same result. Any idea of where to look for the setting?

bash 5.1 and readline 7.0 now have bracketed paste support added and it defaults to on. Does turning it off work for you?
bind "set enable-bracketed-paste off"
If so, you can add that statement to ~/.bashrc to make it permanent.

Oh my ... that was easy. Guess an update must have "fixed" bash which would answer the question about why the reverse vid was on all my terminals, etc. Yes, that works like a charm! Thanks so much.
