I am using MX Linux 19.4 that has Xfce 4.14.2. When I use Firefox with several tabs open that when I left click on a tab, sometimes the mouse sticks to the tab and then takes it out of tabs to a new instance. I notice this with everything else which means the applications are not causing the issue. The problem is the mouse. Is there a way to disable the left click stick? Which mouse settings you recommend that would minimize the left click sticking issue?
I am command line illiterate. I use MX-21.3 Linux.

if you are holding down the left mouse button while moving it, that will usually drag whatever you started on like a tab. i don't know of a way to disable that feature. dragging a tab off the tab bar creates a new window with that tab on it. i do not know of a way to move it back. is that what you mean by "sticking"?

The thing is I am not holding down the button when it happens.

Might it be some sort of "accessibility" setting for the handicapped, that emulates a held button (for those who find doing so physically difficult)?
