I've got more than 12 workspaces. So the current <F1> to <F12> shortcuts don't always get me directly where I want to go.
I would like to setup keyboard shortcuts to switch to any numbered workspace. I presume I might do this with a script if there was a some sort of shell/xfwm4 command or whatever, I could use to switch the desktop.
Is this possible?

I don't have a solution, sorry, but I'd like to point you yo a discussion on this exact problem for i3wm (I gues you're using plain xfwm): https://unix.stackexchange.com/question … difier-key
Perhaps the ideas there help.

Ah - I just found this in the FAQ:
"""
How do I programmatically switch workspaces, move windows, etc?
wmctrl is a commandline tool that can switch workspaces, move windows between workspaces, move window positions, maximize windows, etc.
libwnck is a library that does similar things.
"""
Thank you.
