mousepad options in "Open with" menu

Hi,

Right-clicking on a file->properties->open with
is set to mousepad.

I'd like mousepad to open in a new window (mousepad -o mixed). Currently it opens a new tab in a current mousepad window.,

Doable?

Thanks

Re: mousepad options in "Open with" menu

Do you want to do this without changing the Mousepad preferences, or have you changed them and it doesn't work?
In the first case, you just have to customize the launcher to add the desired option (you can do it via Xfce4-appfinder).

Re: mousepad options in "Open with" menu

Thanks.

I want to change these options only for the right-click context menu w/o changing mousepad's global default.

It's possible to define a custom launcher but that would require redefining this launcher for every file type individually.

Re: mousepad options in "Open with" menu

No, the custom launcher will simply override the default one, without changing file associations (I just tested via Xfce4-appfinder and it works fine).

NB: You don't have to change the name of the launcher, just make a modified copy of it in ~/.local/share/applications: that's what Xfce4-appfinder does.
