Allow to sleep by lid when locked - Xubuntu 21.10 (21.04)

Hello XFCE mates.

Does anyone have a clue where to look into?
It's very annoying to make unnecessary movements to put a laptop to sleep, when I can just simply close the lid.
But not a chance. I need to unlock it first (enter my super duper long password) and then only close the lid.
I understand that screen locker blocks lid button signal and even Fn+SleepButton signal to pass through, and it's logically correct.
But... it's crap.

Anything in your log files after you make the attempt?

journalctl -b 0 | grep screensaver

Here is a debug script from the code repository. Create a file on your computer with that content, make the file executable and execute it in a terminal window. Then lock you computer and try to suspend. Recover and post back the debug content from the terminal window.
