[SOLVED] Automatic update for software

1. Is it possible to do the software upgrades automatically ? I like upgrading at all times with no problem even though it has to be restarted immediately.
2. Today I opened Software application and found a list of new updates.

Previously I have selected automatic updates.

Why didn't Software application do the updates ?
3. Are there any notifications for new software updates ?

Sorry for asking 3 questions in one place for they are all about automatic software updates.

If you're on metered connection (i.e. data plan), it is disabled.

To enable automatic installation of updates, set appropriate options under Software & Updates:
