[SOLVED] How to deactivate / prevent windows from grouping

Hello,

It used to be that windows did not group, but now they automatically do.  I don't see any buttons to un-group them.  It used to be that there was a button for it under preference -> items, but there is none now.   

I read https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-panel/4.16/preferences
but there is no solution there.  Have I missed anything there?

Hi.

This has been answered before. Try this topic.

The settings you're looking to change can be accessed by right-clicking on the panel that contains the tasklist and selecting Panel Preferences. Under Items tab, select Window Buttons and click on the gear icon. Under Behavior, there is a drop-down called Window grouping. Change from Always to Never.
