xfce4-clipman keyboard shortcuts

I suspect that this has been discussed in the past, but having just started using clipman I would like to see it enhances to provide a clip numbering scheme along the line of the shell's history mechanism, allowing various clips to be pasted with user-assigned keyboard shortcuts such as Meta-Alt-1, Meta-Alt-2, etc., which could be assigned on a new tab in the settings menu.  To make this effective, there should be a way to lock/unlock clips in specific positions or maybe better, provide a set of locked slots (say 1-10) assigned to the keyboard shortcuts, to which a given clip could be placed (dragged).  This could then be followed by the current scrolling clip history for new Copies.
