Hello!
I am Paola from Italy. I have been using linux for the past two years and currently I am running MX linux 21. I tried gnome, kde, xfce and then I decided to give kde another chance, attracted by some functionalities. But I love xfce and a few weeks ago I went from Tumbleweed kde to mx linux xfce. I want a stable system and I hope that in this way I have found what I want.

I've tried MX's lighter cousin, AntiX, and really like it. I will stay with Debian, but hope to use antiX in a couple VMs and put it on a usb. On even a cheap-qulaity 2.0 usb, antiX is very fast - but, that was using Fluxbox. I hope to try xfce's lighter cousin xfwm on antiX - since i am already familiar with xfce

Xfwm4 is just Xfce's window manager. They're not in the same category.
Xfce itself works with a lot of different managers but Xfwm4 fits it the best.

Hi and welcome to the forum! I use MX as well! I also have antiX on one of my older computers and it runs like a champ! I distro hopped for years, then finally stayed with Linux Mint Xfce for a long time until I discovered MX Linux. I'm quite happy with MX Linux and antiX Linux! Xfce has always been my favorite desktop environment!
