Hi,
I mapped "xfce4-terminal --drop-down" to Super L/Windows key in xfce's Keyboard > Application Shortcuts settings.
When I pressed the windows key, as expected it shows a drop down terminal.
But pressing it again doesn't hide/close it as expected.
If I use a mouse to click the opened drop down terminal or type something, and then press the windows key, it closes.
But pressing it again doesn't open/show the drop down terminal anymore.
I need to manually click "Toggle Drop-down Terminal" in the panel bar.
In Terminal Preference > Drop-down, I have these activated:
Always keep window on top
Use shortcut to focus visible window
Show status icon in notification area
But not "Keep window open when it loses focus". And I have tried disabling and enabling some of these options, but it didn't help.
I use Arch Linux, and the xfce4-terminal package is version 0.8.10-2. If it matters I also installed libxfce4ui-nocsd package to remove Client-Side Decorations (CSD).
Seems the problem is pretty recent. But I haven't used the drop down terminal in a while. Perhaps it's an old problem.
If anyone has any idea.
edit: The sticky keys setting in xfce's Accessibility setting caused it.

Hello and welcome to our forum.
Uncheck Use shortcut to focus visible window and exit the current instance of xfce4-terminal (^D, exit or what have you).
Remember to edit the subject of your topic to include the [SOLVED] tag once you're satisfied with the answers or have found a solution (in which case, don't forget to share it as well), so that other members of the community can quickly refer to it and save their time. Pretty please!

Hi KBar, thanks for the welcome.
Disabling "Use shortcut to focus visible window" doesn't help unfortunately.
