See: http://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?id=3645. Does installing x11-server-utils help?

Strange thougth .. i cant reproduce the issue.
It's a fresh install and i experienced different issues but they dont repeat.
A sudden reboot , a freeze in the screensaver , and now this.

Ahh. session things happens to me as well - very occasionally. Usually after some package has been upgraded. I'm guessing one of the underlying libraries has changed but the session manager is unaware. It's infrequent enough that I haven't tried to track it down.

Anyway i reinstalled Devuan Testing + XFCE .
In my previous installation i did a lot of tests because i had my timezone wrong and i wanted to correnct a time related issue when dual booting with windows.. also i stressed my new cpu to see how temps are going ..
So i had a hunch that maybe i caused some hiccups ..

It happened again in fresh installation.
I noticed that i couldnt shutdown and i couldnt log out.
Both times getting the same message.
I try different things to reproduce it.
I suspect that the screensaver must somehow messes things up. Just a hunch.
