Auto-tiling?

Hi,

Can xfce auto-tile window, i.e. when a new window is opened it'll auto resize to fill the unused desktop space?.

Thanks

Re: Auto-tiling?

Not natively, no. But there are add-on scripts that can do this. Have a read through this thread that mentions some of those solutions.

Re: Auto-tiling?

Thanks.

Is it possible to change the window manager to something which supports auto-tiling natively while remaining within xfce?.

Sure.

Before proceeding, though, have a read: https://wiki.xfce.org/howto/other_window_manager
