mousepad doesn't detect new themes

Hi,

I've downloaded a few themes from Github & placed the xml files in ~/.local/share/gtksourceview-3.0/styles

When I start mousepad none are detected, it only shows the system-wide themes in /usr/share/gtksourceview-3.0/styles .

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: mousepad doesn't detect new themes

If you are using version 0.5.4 or higher, it's probably built against gtksourceview-4.0. In which case, you need to copy them to ~/.local/share/gtksourceview-4.0/styles. For more info, see: https://docs.xfce.org/apps/mousepad/sta … on_changes.

Re: mousepad doesn't detect new themes

Thanks.

I've created ~/.local/share/gtksourceview-4.0 & placed the style files there but still undetected. I've also logged out & back in, no effect.

Using mousepad 0.5.8

Please make a little effort when it doesn't work directly smile
There may be a typo in what you have been told, which you can correct yourself.
In this case, if you look at the link that ToZ gave you, you will see that it is `gtksourceview-4` instead of `gtksourceview-4.0`.

Re: mousepad doesn't detect new themes

Thanks, you are right.

I've mistakenly created a "...4.0" folder. changed it now to "...4" & it picks up the xml files.

Cheers
