xfce4-screenshooter delay works after a region has been selected.

If a set delay lets say to 5 sec ,
i see immediately the handles to select a region (or a window
in window mode) and then the delay starts counting.

I also tried :
$ gnome-screenshot -a -d 5
and the GUI gnome-screenshot again the same .

But that wont happen with flameshot's :
$ flameshot gui -d 5000
which is a qt app.

I remembed some days ago xfce4-screenshooter 's delay counting before
i select a region.

So either i dont remember correct (i found that unlikely)
or i messed a setting or a setting was messed by an update or a newly installed package?
