How to mute all system signal sounds using the terminal?

Hello! I need to disable all system signal sounds - even critical notification. I cannot find information searching the www.

If you are referring to system sound effects, you can toggle them on and off via:

xfconf-query -c xsettings -p /Net/EnableEventSounds -T

If you are referring to system beeps, you can disable them by unloading the pcskpr module:

sudo rmmod pcspkr
