sound settings modified by some applications

Bonjour,

I have a problem with the pulseaudio plugin: some applications, like google-chrome, modify the sound setting at start-up.
For instance: I set the volume to 30%, or I mute the speakers and the microphone, if I start google, the volume is set to 74% or unmuted and it is the same for the microphone.

How can I modify this behaviour in xfce: I want to forbide all applications to modify the sound settings (and, in fact, modify anything on my machine).

Thank you.

F.P.

Re: sound settings modified by some applications

Do you have flat_volumes enabled in pulseaudio?

pacmd list-sinks | grep flags

If so, try disabling it in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf and restarting pulseaudio,
