Spell checking in Mousepad

Hi,

Can mousepad perform a more versatile spell checking besides just showing a wavy red under-line, e.g. suggesting replacement words & using personal dictionaries?.

If not, any suggestions for an alternative text editor which works well with Xfce ?.

Thanks

Replacement suggestions and additions to the personal dictionary are available at the top of the context menu.

Re: Spell checking in Mousepad

Thanks but that's tedious - it requires selecting each underlined word manually then right click.

Is there a way to run something aspell so it auto-jumps from word to word?.

Not at the moment, but you can open an enhancement request for it on GitLab. There are Gspell APIs for that that could be used.

Thanks again. Any suggestions for alternative editors which do have "aspell" type built-in checking?.

Re: Spell checking in Mousepad

Gedit allows it, as a plugin.
