When I turn on the screen share in google meet. My xfce crashes sometimes things get so bad that I have to use the sysrq key and reboot my pc. I am using firefox 100.0.1 and arch linux and 5.17.9-zen1-1-zen kernel. I cannot show any logs because this seldom happens with me. Like 2 times a week. Any clue on why it is happening ? I already made a bug report on that - https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfdesktop/-/issues/191 because others were having the same problem.

Hello and welcome.
See https://askubuntu.com/questions/1227441 … ogle-meets. Do you have any add-ons enabled? Can you try with a clean firefox profile or possibly another browser?

Actually, I also use brave from the arch user repository and I was still having the same problem. Actually I always attend google meetings in fresh firefox profile because my main profile is hardened and I am too lazy to go to about:config and fix some settings to unbreak google meet. I tried both the browsers.

Is there anything in your journal at the time of the crash?

I already asked people in the arch forum and gave them the journal as well as xorg logs and they said that there was nothing wrong. :\
Thats why I came to xfce forum.

It will be difficult to identify the cause without some logging/debug information. Can you provide a link to arch forums thread?
