[SOLVED] Mouse on primary monitor?

Hello, I have a setup where I have two monitors. My primary display is on the right of my other monitor, so it's number 2 in the display section. When I login my mouse is placed on the left display, which isn't my main display. Is there a way I can make it appear on the primary display?

Hello. Good to see you here.

Have you tried setting your primary display as number 1?

Re: [SOLVED] Mouse on primary monitor?

I have, but when I have the monitor on the right as display 1, I have to move my mouse to the right to get to my left display. If I have the right monitor as display 2 I am able to move the mouse between the monitors, rather than having to move the mouse off the side of the monitor then having it appear on the other side of the other monitor. It's just more convenient to have it as display 2.

Right. As far as I can tell, the numbering means priority, so if you set your physycal primary display to 2, then the mouse will appear on your secondary physical display, which is now denoted by the number 1. Perhaps it is a limitation and https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-settings/-/issues

There's also devilspie2 but I'm not sure if it can help you here.

Or maybe "xdotool mousemove x y" in your application autostart. Specify an x,y coordinate on the proper monitor.
