Hi I have a light blue round app already. Need to change the icon so its more unique.
I tried...
1. Replacing the png files in /usr/lib/librewolf/browser/chrome/icons/default/
2. Putting the new svg files in /usr/local/share/icons/Papirus/*
Any other ideas?

Which distro and which version of Xfce are you running?
How was librewolf installed? (repository or flatpack/snap)?
Where do you need to change the icon? In a menu, window buttons or a dock?

Manajro
Xfce 4.16
Over AUR.
Better be consistent and change icon everywhere (in app, in window buttons, whisker menu, I think that's everywhere?).

For the Papirus theme, you'll need to change the /usr/share/icons/Papirus/*x*/apps/librewolf.svg files (the "*" refers to each size of icons in the apps folder). Make sure to update the icon cache afterwards "gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/Papirus".
Note that your changes will be overwritten if the Papirus icon theme is ever updated. If you want to preserve the changes, you'll need to create an override icon theme - see my instructions here on the approach that I use (or manually change the icons every time the theme package is updated).
