Hi,
I've noticed that when I change Window Manager to Numix in Xubuntu 22.04, this change does not apply for all apps.
Windows for apps like terminal, Firefox and file explorer use Numix Window Manager, but "native apps" like appearance configuration, window manager configuration etc. use default Window Manager.
In Xubuntu 20.04 it was not an issue - after the change, Numix was used by all apps.
Does anyone know how to fix it in 22.04?
Thanks,
Przemek

Hi and welcome to our forums.
Make sure to select the corresponding GTK theme in the Appearance tab.
You may also wish to disable using header bars for dialogs with the following command:
xfconf-query -c xsettings -p /Gtk/DialogsUseHeader -s false
To ensure your current theme is applied consistently throughout many apps, disable CSD. To disable them, install the gkt3-nocsd package available from the universe Ubuntu repository. First, make sure the universe repository is enabled:
Next, install it with apt:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install gtk3-nocsd
It's a good idea to reboot for the changes to take effect fully.
A thorough discussion has been happening here.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your reply!
I don't want to use Numix GTK Theme, I'm using Greybird-dark, I just wanted to change Window Manager.
The step to install gtk3-nocsd solved the issue (I didn't have to add additional repos in Xubuntu 22.04, all needed are configured by default):
sudo apt update && sudo apt install gtk3-nocsd
Thanks once again and have a great day!

Don't mention it.

In that case, the process is inverse. If your theme ships with both GTK and Xfwm4 theming and you have already set the former in the Appearance app, you need to set the latter in the Window Manager app.
