(ArchLinux) I've just bought an unused ThinkPad T430s (intel video) with a Samsung LCD (cat /sys/class/drm/card0-LVDS-1/edid | edid-decode). Similarly to many Samsung LCDs the colors are a little bit "candy-led-pinky". Generally too much pink red and violet.
I've tried to download an ICC profile, run xiccd and colord and use Color Profiles but I'm unable to find a ready ICC profile (even dedicated to this peculiar LCD model) which improves the colors correctly.
Utilities like displaycal require a colorimeter I don't have.
I can do some adjustment with "xrandr --output LVDS-1 --gamma ..." and redshift but it is still a bit imperfect.
Windows 7 drivers offer simple color adjustment - for rgb, gamma, hue etc. I'm wondering what would be the simplest way for such a manual adjustment (and optionally building an ICC profile from it).
Thanks a lot!

Hello and welcome.
There isn't anything Xfce-specific that will assist with profile construction. It does support color profiles through the Settings Manager > Color Profiles utility (assuming xiccd is installed and running).
The Arch ICC Profiles wiki page has good information (in case you haven't come across it). If you have access to Windows:
Profile generation on a Windows or macOS system is one of the easiest and most widely recommended methods to obtain a ICC monitor profile.
You can copy over the profile and use it on Linux (and Xfce).

I'm not using Windows at all but there is also a small Windows7 partition. But the question is:
"Profile generation on a Windows or macOS system is one of the easiest and most widely recommended methods to obtain a ICC monitor profile."
How? (OK, "easy" but how?)

Sorry, out of my depth here. A quick google search shows the Raw Therapee has the ability to create custom profiles. Its in the official repositories.
