How do I restore the desktop panel

Hi,
I deleted a launcher/app/icon from the desktop panel and the panel deleted along with the launcher.
As much as I look I cannot see how to restore it, can anyone advise me as to how to restore it please?

Is xfce4-panel running? If not, try running it manually:

xfce4-panel
