Upgrade failure

The upgrade of my Xubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 was a disaster: it couldn't install a deb-file. My 8 GB ram would have be too small. It mentions then that the 22.04 was installed but that some packages were not installed. It mentioned that it was not a big problem. The next pop-up mentioned that I had to repair my 20.04. After reboot, I saw about 30% failures, to arrive then at the login screen. But the login didn't work although I know the account and the password. The launch of the repair files were also a failure.
I want to promote an LTS for 8 years. The upgrade isn't worth the risk and the pain, because the failure happened again to me.

I installed a fresh 20.04 which I upgraded to 22.04 and that works fine, although I personalize mine more.
