Inconsistent Installed Cursor Themes

So I run xubuntu and recently updated ubuntu from 20.04 to 22.04, which uninstalled firefox in favor of the snap version of firefox. All well and good except that this seems to have broken my installed cursor appearance.

It appears fine in general desktop stuff and some applications, but in firefox & discord it ignores my installed cursor theme and defaults to the DMZ theme instead.
If I change my cursor appearance to another default cursor theme like redglass or adwaita it will use the selected theme in firefox but discord is always DMZ white theme.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
