log file for main menu editor error

Hi,

I only activated the display for file management Thunar in the main menu editor  Alacarte - see screenshot. After clicking "Close" an error message appeared, which disappeared immediately. Now no applications are shown when I click on the start button "Applications".

In which log file can I look for information about this error event?

I'd try ~/.xsession-errors or ~/.xsession-errors.old if there was a reboot in-between.
