Hi,
In pluma ctrl+. brings up the emoji selector.
Is there a similar feature in the xfce4-terminal?.
Is there a standalone xfce "popup" emoji selector?
Thanks

I don't believe Xfce has an emoji picker app. However, you can access one through some GTK3 input fields (like mousepad's search field).
In pluma ctrl+. brings up the emoji selector.
Pluma is a text editor. Xfce's text editor app is mousepad. If you install "noto-fonts-emoji" and emote, you can use emote as the emoji popup selector and have the emoji paste and appear in mousepad. Make sure you restart mousepad after installing the font.

What exactly are you thinking of doing with emojis in a terminal window? If its just to have one on your PS1 string, then have a look at https://oorkan.medium.com/emojifying-yo … 5c1e8f6b3c.

Thanks.
My mistake, pluma->mousrpad (I'm using the latter).
Is there a built-in emoji selector in xfce4-terminal as in mousepad?.
